HOW WE DID IT

Law Firm SEO Case Study: How Wilkinson Law LLC Increased Organic Search Sessions by 401%

When I began working with Wilkinson Law LLC in March 2023, its website had recorded zero organic sessions or active users. I developed and consistently published attorney-reviewed article series around the firm’s business law and litigation practice areas, building one connected topic cluster at a time. By June 2026, the website had generated 26,535 organic sessions and recorded 21,605 active users. Annual organic sessions rose 401%, from 2,556 to 12,798. Engaged sessions increased 438%, from 1,511 to 8,130.

The Strategy Behind the Growth

This growth came from a content-first law firm SEO strategy and close collaboration between Attorney Anthony Wilkinson and me. Anthony reviews the legal substance of each article. I plan the content, write it, optimize each page, and study the results. Over time, organic search has developed into a consistent source of qualified leads for the firm.

  • I begin with the people the firm wants to reach. I work with the firm to identify the questions prospective clients ask about the firm’s practice areas. Search volume matters, but a topic must also be relevant to the legal work Wilkinson Law LLC wants to attract.
  • I build one content cluster at a time. Instead of publishing unrelated blog posts, I develop a connected article series around a specific legal subject. This creates greater content depth and helps search engines understand the firm’s expertise.
  • I publish two to four articles each month. This pace allows the law firm’s website to grow consistently without sacrificing the research or attorney review required for high-quality legal content.
  • I develop every article with attorney input. The law firm reviews the legal analysis and adds insights drawn from its experience working with business owners. I turn that knowledge into content that potential clients can understand and use.
  • I use search data to shape the content. Surfer SEO helps me research the language people use and evaluate competing search results. I use that information to optimize each article for its target audience rather than forcing keywords into the copy.
  • I connect related pages through internal linking. Each article includes relevant internal links to supporting content and, where appropriate, the service page that addresses the reader’s underlying legal need. Building one cluster at a time makes those connections more natural.
  • I check the website’s technical health. I use Screaming Frog to crawl the website and identify broken links, redirect problems, missing metadata, duplicate page elements, and pages that search engines may have difficulty accessing. PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix help me investigate loading speed, Core Web Vitals, and other performance issues.
  • I monitor what happens after publication. Google Search Console shows which queries and pages are gaining visibility. Google Analytics measures organic traffic, while Microsoft Clarity helps me understand how visitors use the website.
  • I revise content based on performance data. When an article starts appearing for related searches, I expand it. If readers are not engaging with it, I adjust the content. When stronger connections would help, I add relevant internal links to related articles and service pages.

The approach is straightforward: create genuinely useful content for the people the firm wants to serve, publish it consistently, and use performance data to improve the work over time.

THE OUTCOME

What the Organic Growth Meant for the Firm

1

Reaching the Right Audience

Our collaborative approach kept the strategy focused on the people and places that mattered to the firm. The website gained visibility in the locations Wilkinson Law LLC serves and for legal topics relevant to business owners, the firm’s core clients. The growth therefore brought the firm greater visibility among the people it wanted to reach.
2

Generating Qualified Inquiries

As the firm reached more of the right people, organic search developed into a consistent source of inquiries involving matters the firm handles. For a law firm owner, this is the crucial difference between attracting website visitors and creating genuine business opportunities.
3

Building Trust Before Contact

The articles gave prospective clients an opportunity to evaluate the firm before reaching out. By reading useful, attorney-reviewed guidance, they could understand the firm’s experience, approach, and relevance to their situation, making the eventual inquiry warmer and more informed.

Can You Do the Same for
My Law Firm?

1. Start With a Law Firm Marketing Audit

Yes. My team and I can apply the same approach to your law firm. I recommend starting with a no-obligation marketing audit. If you already have a website, I review its content and the technical issues that may be limiting its visibility. If you do not have a website yet, I analyze your market and recommend the strategy your firm should follow. Read more about the marketing audit here.

2. Law Firm SEO

Law firm SEO is the first of our interconnected services. I identify the questions your potential clients ask on Google and develop a content system around the legal work your firm wants to attract. I optimize each page for search, including its URL and on-page elements. I also write the SEO title and meta description. After publication, I track performance and provide a monthly report showing how the work is progressing. Read more about our law firm SEO services here.

3. Legal Content Writing

I am a content writer first. Everything else I do supports the content by helping search engines and AI tools understand it and put it in front of the people who matter to your firm. I enjoy collaborating with attorneys because their insight makes each article more specific to the legal work they perform. If your schedule does not allow close collaboration, I can develop the content independently. Read more about how our legal content writing service works here.

4. AI SEO

I do not treat AI SEO as separate from the rest of our work. Much of AI SEO is traditional SEO done with AI discovery in mind. I use structured data to make key information about your firm easier for AI systems to interpret. I also develop original, attorney-informed content they can draw from when answering legal questions or identifying a relevant law firm. Read more about our approach to AI SEO here.

5. Lawyer Website Development

Finally, if you do not have a website, my team and I can build one for your law firm. I may also recommend a new website if our marketing audit finds that your current site has limitations that would restrict the strategy we develop. We build fast, modern law firm websites designed to support your online visibility and turn the right visitors into inquiries. Read more about our law firm web design service here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Did the Increase in Organic Traffic Translate Into Qualified Leads?

Yes. Organic search now brings a steady stream of qualified leads for Wilkinson Law LLC. For me, that is the most meaningful part of this case study. The people finding the website are business owners seeking help with legal matters the firm actually handles.

How Long Did It Take Wilkinson Law LLC to Achieve These Results?

I began writing for Wilkinson Law LLC in March 2023. The website started receiving its first organic visitors in June, about three months later. The results presented in this case study extend through June 2026, so they reflect three years and three months of consistent work. Growth developed over that period as we published new content and improved existing pages based on performance data.

What Work Did TypeTopia Agency Handle?

TypeTopia Agency handled the SEO work from initial research through publication. I researched keywords around problems the firm handles and used those findings to plan and create each article. I completed the on-page optimization, uploaded the content to the firm’s website, and distributed it through relevant channels. Once each piece was live, I continuously monitored its performance and made improvements based on the data.

How Involved Was the Attorney in Creating the Content?

Attorney Anthony Wilkinson and I both proposed topics for the articles. Some came from questions and issues that arose in his work with clients, while others came from my SEO research. I researched and wrote each article, then he reviewed it for legal substance. I handled everything else, including revisions, SEO optimization, uploading, distribution, and ongoing performance monitoring.

Can This Approach Work for a Law Firm in Another Practice Area?

Yes. This approach is not limited to business law. It starts with creating high-quality content that answers the questions people ask when they need the type of legal help your firm provides. I then do the SEO work needed to help search engines and AI tools understand that content and push it toward the right audience. After publication, I continue monitoring its performance and make improvements based on what the data shows. The topics and strategy would be tailored to your practice area and the clients you want to attract.
